      Notes on the topographic maps:

These maps are scanned from a map bought in the visitor's center at Lone Pine. That map covers a bit more area and costs $2.50 (Aug 1997). It is about 11 by 17 inches in size, plastic coated, and folded into 4 sections. Elevations and contours are in meters, the contour interval is 20 meters (multiply by 3.2808 to convert to feet). I would highly recommend purchasing a copy for the hike.

I have slightly edited the 3 subsections above, highlighting the trail with yellow, coloring the approximate location of Trail Camp with pink and labeling it, and adding a label for Crooks Peak.
