Day 31: Thu Aug 21, 1997

 Sharleen went out to check on other motels, she finally picked White Sands Inn and got a room there and we moved to it early, 9 am something. The Waffle House is nearby and we walked to it for breakfast. Our waitress was friendly, maybe Japanese, and was interested in hearing about our trip so I went back and brought the laptop back. I showed her our web pages and another guy came by to see them. She wanted to see Whitney so I told her I'd bring it back when I had Whitney pages ready. Back at the motel Sharleen did laundry and I did web pages, took a short swim in the pool in the afternoon, then we went to Golden Corral for a late lunch. We then went back to Hastings, I looked at CDs while Sharleen checked out a new produce store nearby. Back at the motel I did web pages till after 2 AM.
