MIDL Data Analysis

The three steps for performing data analysis using MIDL:

1. Setting up your machine to run the analysis package

   Because the analysis programs run on your machine, there are some setup requirements you must go through before running the analysis package the first time. Read the setup requirements document to make sure your machine is suitable and properly configured.




2. Understand the dataset

   There are comments about each dataset to help with this process. We also reccommend that you read the relevant instrument papers and/or communicate with the instrument scientists directly, because our dataset descriptions are limited.
   The comments page may also have more links to other sources of information about the dataset.




3. Run the analysis package.

   To start the analysis programs, click below on the button corresponding to the mission whose data you wish to analyze. This will start the analysis tool. Once the tool is running, you can easily switch to any of the missions listed here without coming back to this page.
