Particle Line Plot

This tool plots a single particle channel as a function of time. The enclosing time range is defined by the location of the sliding time window bars in the summary image viewer. The time range of the dat viewed in the lihe plot tool may be made more narrow by typing a new time value into the start and/or stop time boxes. (These boxes are available under the "Settings" menu in the \"Plot Settings...\" window.) Note that you cannot view data outside the original time window covering the data with which the tool was launched.

The channel can be changed using the \"Selected Channel\" pull down menu, which lists all available channels for the mission and time range selected.

A Postscript plot can be made using the \"Save Plot\" button.

A table of ASCII data for viewing and saving can be obtained using the \"ASCII VALUE\" button.

A \"Plot Settings\" window can be accessed under the \"Settings\" menu. You can choose between a plotting style of points and lines. For points, you can choose the point size and for lines, you can choose the maximum time width between points for which a line should be drawn (if two points are separated in time more than this value, then no line will be drawn connecting them.)

Finally, you can show data which is averaged over a given time interval. There is a box in the Plot Settings window for you to specify the time interval. Note that a time interval of zero indicates no averaging - the full time resolution will be shown.
