XEPD V1.4 is now available from the APL/EPD website. Just download
the XEPD_01_40.tar.gz, and the installation guide. The V1.4 will run on
PC and Unix. The difference between V1.4 and V1.3 is briefly described in the 
release notes which can be read from the XEPD help menu. There are a few known
problems that will be fixed in V1.5. We choose to fix the problem in V1.5
so that those that are not affected by it will be able to use the software
right away. The known problems are.

1) The Ions and Electron energy spectrum application does not work properly in
   PC environment. This will be fixed in coming V1.5

2) The time dependent geometrical factor has not been implemented yet. Thus
   energy passband used for A0 data that are taken after 11/1/97 is not 
   correct.

   If you find any problem in the software, please let me know so that
the problem can be fixed for the next release.
