These are the active regions from the past two solar cycles which produced M9-class flares. The peak soft X-ray flux for many of these exceeded the X threshold, but after accounting for the nonflaring solar emission, they just missed the cut. Most have observations from the Mees Solar Observatory Imaging Vector Magnetograph (IVM) and Haleakala Stokes Polarimeter (HSP). Flares observed during Mees hours with the Mees CCD Imaging Spectrograph (MCCD) are linked through. Additional regions will be added as more events occur and more observations are analyzed.
