| This image of the auroral oval was taken by the Ultraviolet Imager (UVI) onboard the NASA satellite "Polar" on April 4, 1997 at 0519 UT. George Parks of the University of California, Berkeley is principal investigator for UVI. Ching Meng of JHU/APL is a co-investigator. UVI data plays a major role in our team's research. |
